We would stress that, however you choose to make the main legs of your journey to Burgundy, you will really need a car while you are here.

Montbard (30 minutes away by car) offers a direct high-speed rail link from London and is on the main TGV rail line from Paris – (city centre or Charles de Gaulle Airport terminal) - to the north, and Dijon to the south. Eurostar runs from London St. Pancras to Lille, where you have an easy change for Montbard. The TGV journey from Paris-Montbard is about 1hr. 10 mins. There is also a slower train (the TER) from Paris, which deposits you nearer to us, at either Nuits (10 mins) or Tonnerre (25 mins). Montbard, however, is the best destination for hiring a car from Hertz Rental or Budget.

Montbard’s easy rail access to Paris makes a day-trip to the capital a comfortable option--park your car at Montbard station, (currently free!), be in Paris before 9am and back to Montbard before 8pm
